The day was slow, everyone's minds on the dance. And when it came, everyone was ready. Sakura and Zero proceeded into the dance hall, looking around at the decor. Ino and Sasuke were dancing, Naruto and Hinata were just talking, and even Shikamaru and Temari were in the spirit of the occasion. Zero went over the dances in his head again, hoping for something fast.
"So Zero... What do you think of my dress?" Sakura asked, looking with envy at Ino.
"It's beautiful... Really..." Zero answered her, and he escorted her to dance floor. The two began dancing, and soon each was lost within one another and the music, and all around them was, gone. There seemed no end to the happiness in that room, and Zero and Sakura were washed over by it, and also were a fountain of it. They danced on and on as the night dragged, and soon they sat together at a table, exhausted.
"That was... amazing..." Sakura said, slightly out of breath.
"Yes... I suppose it was." Zero said, then added, "But not as amazing as you..." The two looked at one another, Zero feeling as though his travels were well worth it, and Sakura, thinking of her new found friend and how close they had become so quickly. And slowly, each moved towards one another, and shared a kiss that would last forever...
